Magazine Advertisment - Sam

The image above is what we have created as our poster for our music video. To make this, we used Adobe Photoshop to do the editing which enabled us to make the poster look professional and attractive to our modern target audience. Since the time of year is around Christmas we decided to add a Christmas theme to our poster, which as you can see is the Christmas tree in the background with the star on top.

For the production and creation of our music video we decided what artists and bands influenced us in what overall atmosphere and outcome we want to create; in this instance The Bee Gee's was the main inspiration that we had when it came for the costumes and the intentions we want to implement into our music video. Whilst researching and studying The Bee Gee's our understanding in the 1970's - 1980's grew and we became more knowledgeable in the characterisation and body language that we will need to incorporate into our music video, the swagger and bouncy movements in The Bee Gee's Stayin' Alive Music video help us visualise how we should move and travel whilst recording our own music video. The image above highlights the email that Alex has sent to the distribution/copyright owner of the song that we have chosen for our media studies coursework; in this instance we have chosen the song 'Stayin Alive' by the Bee Gee's. Furthermore the use of these images convey the research into the production companies that we had to know in order to attain the copyright permission to be able to post our music video on Blogger. This image is proof of the email that Sam sent to the same music record company. Since both of us have sent an email requesting permission to use the song 'Stayin Alive' it will higher our chances of the request being accepted.
